Facility Improvement Needs
We have addressed as many of our facility needs as possible within our regular budget. However, our facility needs go beyond what the district is able to cover through its operational budget on a yearly basis. Managing these facility improvements now will prevent expensive repairs, create energy efficiency, and improve safety while modernizing spaces, especially in the Middle/High school that is 27 years of age.
Our building electrical, card access and safety systems need updates:
Outdated fire alarm systems
Inadequate card access system
Aging electrical panels
Our 27 year old systems – HVAC, plumbing, lighting – are worn out and inefficient:
Outdated control panels and devices
Aging water softeners and heaters
Wall exhausts
Booster pump
Dishwasher exhaust
Inefficient dust collector
Worn and rusting cooling units
Undersized welding ventilation unit
Our existing learning and support spaces need updates and improvements:
Metals classroom
Wash stations
Water fountains
Shower rooms
Greenhouse
Cafeteria/commons
Woods classroom
Our building exteriors and grounds need repairs :
Inadequate space for transportation building and bus maintenance
Cracked pavement
Cracking envelope
Cracked dumpster pad
Cracked sidewalks
Rusting exterior doors
Our athletic sites and 40 year-old pool building require maintenance and updates:
Pool Electrical Main Panel
Batting Cage
Bleachers
Pool Electrical Distribution Switches
Press Box
Cumbersome Gym Backboard Controls
Original Gym Scoreboards (27-years old)
